The Dogs of Bohemia
The Dogs of Bohemia
Over the past several decades, I have had the honor of sharing my life with some
very special dogs. Below you will find the current dogs of Bohemia as well as
some photos and details of dogs from the past that hold a special place in my
heart and have helped lay the foundation for what Bohemia is today.

GCHP* Wayland's Wild Cherry Lifesaver BN RN DS CA CGC
Cherry came to me as a pup in 2015 from Kim Cramer of Wayland Chesapeakes in New Jersey. I was in search of a bitch that would fit nicely into the breeding program and would compliment what I already had in place. She comes from a long line of successful dogs and has turned out to be exactly what I had hoped for. Her mother, Quailridge's 45 Cherry Bombs, is owned by Kim and was bred to Chesabar's Duck Duck Goose which produced a very nice litter. It is exciting to have these wonderful dogs behind Cherry's pedigree.
Cherry began competing in conformation shows when she
was a puppy and she quickly attained her Championship title. Soon followed her Grand Championship and several Group placements. Cherry has been shown extensively over the past 3 years and has been ranked among the Top 10 Chesapeakes in the nation many times, attaining Grand Champion Platinum status along the way and becoming the youngest and first ever Chesapeake bitch to achieve AKC Platinum Grand Champion status. In March 2020, Cherry was ranked Number 1 Chesapeake Bay Retriever in the United States. She has twice received Awards of Merit at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York and has won Best of Opposite Sex at the Royal Canin dog shows in Orlando, Florida - qualifying her to compete at Cruft's in England.
I have been on many adventures throughout the country
with this wonderful dog, including trips to countless dog shows, dock diving competitions, hunt tests, rally trials & more. She has achieved many great things during her show and performance careers and is a joy to have in my life. I look very forward to her first litter of puppies.
